I got to help make my birthday (cup)cake!

June 27, 2009Today I helped my mom make birthday cupcakes for me! She made special cupcakes so that they would be healthy for me to eat! I just had to sit there while she mixed all the ingredients. I got bored, so she gave me a cracker!Whoa! She even let me stir the batter!
Finally, what I have been waiting for, I got to lick the mixers! All of it was baby safe to eat!

I can't wait for my birthday party tomorrow!

Rainey is growing by leaps and bounds. She has matured so much and I can hardly believe it's almost one month until her 1st birthday! She started saying Mama about 2 1/2 weeks ago. She has also mastered "baba" and knows exactly what that means. She still says Dada, Nah Nah, Yah Yah and other things too that have misc meanings. She is SO close to walking. She just doesn't trust herself to balance. If we hold one hand she can walk pretty well, but as soon as we let go she lowers herself to the ground. A fun new thing that started about a week ago is that she can crawl up the stairs at lightening speed. I didn't even know she could climb one stair, and the first time she did it, she went all the way up! How cool. She is just the best thing ever and we are thrilled with our baby girl. He one year dr. appt is June 29th, so we will have physical stats then! It is a beautiful weekend. I hope everyone is doing well!

Memorial Day Weekend

I had an amazing day today. My Mommy and Daddy were both off from work and we took advantage of the sunshine on this holiday weekend! First we went to the park in Browns Point. We had lunch, played with toys, looked at birds and the water and even saw other kids! After the park we went on a long walk at Celebration Park on the B.P.A. Trail. It was such a great day. I hope you are all having a happy Memorial Day Weekend. Mommy and Me on our walk Daddy and I at the park.

Even though I had my own blanket with toys, books and food, I love coming over by daddy and reading his magazine.

Baptism

Today I was baptized! I am so blessed and I had alot of family there to witness it. Unfortunately, the camera's battery died right away and we didn't get many pictures. I will try to post more later!

The First Saturday in May

Today I went to Emerald Downs for only the second time in my whole life! No, actually, I am incorrect. I have gone there plenty of times to eat lunch with my mommy, but today I went as a fan. It was Kentucky Derby Day!!! We had so much fun. My daddy's work got a suite and so I was very comfortable watching the races all day long. My mommy was working, but she stopped by alot to say "hi" and see me. I told daddy all the horses that I thought were pretty, but he didn't listen to me and bet on other horses instead. Needless to say he lost all the money he came with! Next time he'll listen to me...

A Sunny Funny Walk

Today I went for a walk in my neighborhood!I brought some snacks with me just in case we got lost. We saw a pretty pond.

We stopped at a park and went on the swing.

Whoa.

Someone must have had alot of fun in the park because they forgot their cheese stick!

During the walk, my mom noticed an eagle flying above us, following us around.

Another eagle decided to join him. They went everywhere we went!

After the third eagle, I decided I didn't want to become lunch meat and we headed home. They were beautiful birds, but no need to take our chances!

It was a fun time!

Its been awhile...

Wow, its been a LONG time since Mommy made a post on my blog. She has been so busy at work with opening day of racing being last week. I have not stopped growing since my last post, though! I have included some pictures of me playing, hanging out at Easter (check out my Easter present, the big blue dog!!!), and with my first balloon. I hope everyone has been well. -Rainey
